LA Music Critic Awards nominations announced for first half of 2016

The time has come again to recognize the incredible indie talent in the world of music.  We are so thrilled to have so much of it this year, and are looking forward to one of the most productive years for indie music in a long time.

On behalf of our wonderful committee, composed of Bob Leggett, Jennifer Lyneis, Michelle King, Melissa Dragich-Cordero, Steve Belkin, Heather Jacks, Kim Grant, Doug Deutsch, Laura Goldfarb and Patrick O’Heffernan, we now present our nominations for the first half of 2016.  Remember, the Fan Favorite Award  is nominated by you.  Simply leave a comment below or on our Facebook page.  The artist who gets the most votes will be the winner.  Support your favorite by voting now.

The Long Road was sheer pleasure to listen to , Diana Rein ‘s soulful voice combined with her melodic riffs are joy to my ears . She has talent beyond her years she deserves to be acknowledged

A very healthy vote for the lovely sound of Kris Angelis and Heartbreak is Contagious.

Diana Rein for fan favourite. She is a great songwriter and guitarist. She is one of the new guard of blues and rock music. She reminds me of my Stevie Ray Vaughan in t he way she plays lead guitar. But she also has a sweet soul sound in her music.

Halo Circus is Clearly is an amazing band their new Albun “Bunny” is simply solid gold every single song is a hit and should be played in every radio station Allison Iraheta is the new voice and sound of our generation that the world needs desperately I can’t wait for Halo Circus to blow up and get all the recognition they deserve !! Fresh, original, alternative rock. Allison Iraheta shows passion, emotion, and sensuality. Musicians exhibit technical skills and authenticity. But they are a cohesive band that still has fun. Fans from El Salvador to Japan and back to the U.S. Yes.

Fan favorite: Allison Iraheta & Halo Circus. Pay attention to the lyrics as well as everything else. No shallow fluff here. Spin this album a few times and you will have the tunes of various songs popping into your head like a mental play list on repeat. Best Album I’ve heard in years.

In our eyes she is already a star with the gifts she brings to the world for all to enjoy. We will do OUR part to make sure she is in the forefront of the music scene for many years to come. Nobody is more deserving of such a prestigious honor to be recognized for her undying devotion to her craft. Diana Rein…..YOU’RE THE BEST!!

Allison Iraheta and Halo Circus . so much good music this year congrats to all… this new album Rabbit is very special and I think even a couple songs MUSE would put thumbs up to.. great production and even if it dosnt win.. Buy It !!.. But vote for them .. richly deserved.
