Monday mashup 2020 (vol 2)

We hope you all remembered to turn your clocks ahead yesterday.  We’ve got some great new singles and music videos to start off your work week.  We are so humbled to be able to share these amazing artists with you.  Grab your coffee and let’s get started.

NEW SINGLES

Blue Élan Records has done it again.  The increasingly popular indie music label has brought back another of our favorite bands with the return of Soul Asylum.  Their first single from their forthcoming EP is called “Social Butterfly” and it has all the elements that made the band’s past hits like “Runaway Train” such timeless classics.

Our next single is a future alt pop classic from the effervescent mind of Emmrose, who we introduced to you last October.  Her voice is unmistakable and her songwriting is top notch.  We love her new single “Take me With You,” and think you will too.

Our third single is actually a pair of songs from Finnish band The Holy.  We love their take on rock music, with lyrics that have definite substance and a beat that will keep you interested in the entire song.  Check out “Twilight of the Idiots” and “No Trial in the Dark.”

Next up is a true folk rock protest song.  The subject matter is the lack of gun control and how it is impacting our kids and the world in general.  Check out Charlie and the Rays and their latest, “There Goes my Baby.”

https://soundcloud.com/charlieandtherays/there-goes-my-baby-1

Our final single this week is from relative newcomers  Perfect Blue.  Their latest single has them “Runnin’ From the Hills.”  We hope they continue making great music.

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

We kick off this week’s videos with the latest from the British band Cold in July.  “Catalyst for Recovery” is a powerful song with an equally powerful visual.  Let us know what you think.

We haven’t featured a country tune in a while and we have the perfect one to share with you today.  “Lonely Bones,” the latest from songstress Sonja Midtune, is lovely in every way.  This one will get your feet moving while you two-step around the dance floor.  Check it out and fall in love with her immense talent.

While we’re in a country mood, check out the latest from Blue Élan Records’ artist Chelsea Williams.  We love everything about “Red Flag” and are so thankful that she continues to churn out incredible music.

Last week we shared the amazing single “Flowers” from future superstar Dani Le Rose.  If you loved the single, you will love the video even more.

We close out this week’s edition with the perfect segue to Spring Break.  Here is the first single/video from American Studies, a remake of the classic tune, “Panama City Blues.”  Enjoy your week.

Monday mashup 2020 (vol 1)

Did you miss us?  Things have finally settled down.  I am in the process of being promoted to Shift Manager at Pizza Hut, which has allowed me to quit my job at Sam’s Club and have a less hectic life.  I’m still  working a lot of hours, but have regular days off and will (normally) get off earlier.  As a result, we should be able to get back to the business of promoting indie music here on Indie Voice Blog.  We are very happy to be back.

Let’s kick off our first Monday Mashup of 2020 with some great new songs and videos.  Here we go.

NEW PLATFORM FOR INDIE ARTISTS

A revolutionary new music platform has launched, enabling artists to take control of their careers.  Beatchain’s premium services help musicians share their talent, connect with fans, and earn money from their music, without having to share profits and creative control with industry middlemen.

Though there are many tools in the market providing services to musicians, they tend to be expensive and limited to a single capability, for example, handling just distribution, websites, email lists or social media management. Beatchain believes artists need all of these capabilities together in one platform. The market has clearly indicated that Beatchain is resonating. Over 40,000 artists have already taken their first steps towards independence by signing up to the Beatchain platform.

“Too many artists are seeing music streaming as a talent show where they upload one song to Spotify with zero promotion, and suddenly they’re being signed to a label or played on the radio,” said Ben Mendoza, Beatchain CEO. “Unfortunately that’s not how the music industry works in the streaming era. To get heard above the noise, you need the complete set of tools to grow and engage your fanbase, get them hyped for your new release, and then direct them again and again to your music, your shows and your merchandise.  The unique thing about Beatchain is that you can do all this with one platform, without the artist needing to become an expert marketer or music promoter.”

Beatchain offers three pricing levels – a free Basic Plan, a Premium Plan for $14.99 and a “Superstar” Plan for $19.99. The platform’s wide array of tools remove the need for artists to subscribe separately to a number of other services, which can add up to a significant monthly investment, especially for artists just starting out.

NEW SINGLES

First up is the unique sound of Stefan T.  He composed this guitar instrumental and then enlisted an old high school friend to write lyrics for it.  He incorporated a hip hop beat underneath the guitar to give it that intriguing sound.  Check out “One.”

https://soundcloud.com/stefantofficial/one

Next up is the amazing vibe of Dani Le Rose with her latest single “Flowers” from her upcoming self-titled EP, which will be released on Friday.  We are totally in love with her and can’t wait to hear the rest of the EP.

Our third single has a similar “hot” vibe with the haunting sound of British songstress Actrese.  We likewise love her groove and think that “Lola” will be a huge hit.  What do you think?

Our next single has a gospel/pop feel and an equally incredible vocal zzsound from A Blake.  Check out “Witness” and we think you’ll be a believer.

Our final single is from a future superstar that deserves as much airplay as Harry Styles.  Check out “Find Me” from LA’s Matt Hansen – we think you’ll go out of your way to catch his live act.

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

There are few things we love more than new music from multi-LA Music Critic Award winners The Spider Accomplice.  Their latest, “Enough,” is definitely one of their finest accomplishments to date, and we are so proud to share it with you.  Get ready to rock your socks off!

Next up is the new video from Blue Élan Records artist Lisa Lambe, formerly of the band Celtic Women.  Her sound is reminiscent of Stevie Nicks, and we are intrigued by “Hunter’s Moon.”  This one is a true keeper.

Our third video is the perfect segue and features the incredible sound of Grizzly Coast.  We hope they stay around “Forever.”

Our next video is visually stimulating and worthy of multiple viewings.  Check out Kris Kelly and his song, “More.”

We close out this week’s edition with the latest from our friend and amazing singer-songwriter Andy Grammer.  We think everyone can relate to the lyrics of “Spotlight.”

Ten amazing videos released in December 2019

It’s been a couple of hectic weeks since we last posted, but we are ready to share our list of Ten Amazing Videos released in December 2019.  We will be back shortly with our Best Of lists for 2019, but in the meantime, please be patient.  We are doing the best we can.  Without further adieu, here we go.

Our first video was technically released on Black Friday, but we didn’t know about it until mid-December.  We have featured the band previously when we reviewed their album, and love their retro classic rock sound.  Here is Tombstones in Their Eyes with “Maybe Someday,” the title track.

Next up is the head-banging sound of Wilmette, as they sing about “Carol from HR.”  This band has all the makings of a long and successful career ahead of them, and we want you to jump on their bandwagon now.

Next up is an amazing guitar instrumental video by Brady Novotny, a true guitar hero, which has some of the most beautiful cinematography we have seen this year.  He shifts from rock guitar to flamenco acoustic, and even features the vocals of his wife, Jenn.  Feel the passion of his “Ancient Romance.”

One of our favorite K-POP bands, Monsta X, joins with Latin sensation, Sebastián Yatra, on a unique animated video for their monster hit, “Magnetic.”  We bet this one will be going on your favorites lists.

Our fifth video is a tongue in cheek PSA from the creative mind of Gabe Mouer, aka Patternist, entitled “Feature’s Dead, Angela.”  We love the upbeat sound of the band and the creative genius in the video.  Let us know what you think.

Let’s take a break from our list for a future hit.  We fell in love with Lisa Lambe when she was a part of Celtic Woman, and now that she’s gone solo, we love her even more.  Check out her latest song, “Tiny Devotions.”  We think you’ll fall in love with her too.

We start our second five videos with the latest from Earwig Studio artists Suitcase.  Check out their innovative video for “Super Knife” and jam out to their incredible indie rock sound.

Sexual harassment is still alive and the latest video from Lloren confronts the issue head-on.  Check out “Warriors.”

Next up is a stunning and visually breathtaking video from Canadian Tim Baker for his ballad “The Eighteenth Hole.”  This one is strangely soothing and we think it deserves your attention.  It was filmed in Newfoundland, and we suddenly want to visit.

Our ninth video is from The Weeklings, a Beatles tribute band, and features an intro by Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits.  It is a remarkable cover of The Easybeats‘ classic tune, “Friday On My Mind,” and it brings back great memories of the 60’s.  You bet you’ll dig this one.

Our final video is a stylish lyric video that uses text balloons to convey the lyrics.  It is the latest from Irene Diaz about modern day dating trials and tribulations.  Check out “Another Observer.”

Ten great singles released in December 2019

Happy New Year!  As we wind things down at Indie Voice Blog in preparation for our hiatus, we are pleased to share these Ten Great Singles that didn’t make the cut for our weekly Monday Mashups in December.

First up is a band called Avalon Highway that mixes Americana  with vintage rock to create an impressive sound.  Check out their single, “Hope we Don’t die Young.”  We think you’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys in the future.

Next up is a trip-hop/electro-pop tune from Sympala that will get you pumped up to head into the new year.  Check out “For You,” and consider it our gift.

Our third single is for those who have disappeared into a “Blackhole.”  It features some stellar electronic sounds and introduces us to the power of LØZNINGER + KITOWSKI.  Check them out.

Next is another slice of Americana pie, with the amazing and harmonious sounds of The Wood Brothers.  The song is a “Little Bit Sweet,” and we can’t wait to taste the rest of their upcoming album which drops on January 24.  This one is definitely worthy of a lip smack.

Our fifth single is from Mosey, the solo project of Panic! At The Disco‘s Dan Pawlovich.  The song is very cynical but well done, as he explains that “If Christmas Didn’t Exist,” he wouldn’t mind at all.  While we don’t agree with his sentiments, the song is still well done and worthy of your consideration.

We kick off our second group of five singles with a modern-day folk tale from Dutch band SPIRITBOX.  This song has it all, and we are truly impressed with their talent.  Check out their clever tune “The Burner.”

Next up is the latest upbeat electronica instrumental tune from the duo known as Frere.  Although they call it “Often Wrong,” we don’t think listening to them qualifies as wrong.

Single number eight is a provocative and explicit tune from the Top 40 worthy sound of M. Maggie.  This one talks about physical love, and will keep your juices pumping.  It definitely makes us want to be “Real Close.”

Next up is a cover tune from Drea & the Marilyns of the New Zealand-based indie band Lips’ tune “Everything to Me.”  It is dark and rich and worthy of multiple listens.  Check her out.

https://soundcloud.com/dreamarilyn/everything-to-me-lips-cover/s-E5bp1

We close out this month’s new singles with this high energy Celtic rock/punk tune from The Deadlys, which just happens to be their debut.  From the quality of “Work to be Done,” we don’t think it will be their last.  Enjoy and we’ll be back soon with our Ten Amazing Videos from December.

Monday mashup 2019: vol. 40

We have reached the end of 2019, making this our final Monday Mashup of the year.  We have enjoyed sharing these singles and music videos with you this year, and we hope you have discovered some great new indie artists.

Still to come is our Ten Great Singles and Ten Amazing Videos for the month of December, as well as our list of the best singles, videos, albums and EPs of 2019.

Unfortunately, the pressure of working two jobs has caught up to this 61 year old lover of all things indie, and Indie Voice Blog must regrettably take a hiatus.  Although we will not be publishing regular weekly blogs, we will still pop in from time to time to share special reviews and other indie news.

This project has always been a labor of love.  Sadly, we don’t have the time or energy to continue at the present time.  We do hope to be back at some point in the future.  We hope that you will continue to seek out indie music in the meantime.

SOLOFEST 2020

The biggest festival of solo shows is almost here at LA’s own Whitefire Theatre (13500 Ventura Boulevard).   From January 4 to March 20, you can catch 80 shows during a 90 day period.  If you love solo shows, this is the festival for you.  For more information, check out the website of the festival director, Jessica Lynn Johnson.  If we were in town, this is where we would be.

NEW SINGLES

We start this edition out with a bang that should propel you into the new year.  Check out the straight ahead rocking sound of Lute and their single, “Victims of the Fall.”  It clocks in at 7:54, and every second of it is worth your attention.  They are living proof that prog rock is not dead.

We totally shift gears on our second single, with the country twang of Francesca Brown, who suffers from the “Hashslingin’ Blues.”  This one will give you food for thought.

Our third single is pure pop from the UK, featuring the upbeat and soulful sound of JASH, who only wants it to be “Us Together.”  We think he’s got a great chance at seeing his dreams come true.

Next up is Watch me Breathe, a band we introduced to you back in August.  We love their latest, “Garden of Eden,” and think this is a band we need more of.

Our final single this week is from a new female folk duo named Jack Rabbit.  Their harmonies are exquisite, as demonstrated on their debut track, “December.”

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

We kick things off with a video that literally debuted a few hours ago, featuring one of our favorite LA songbirds, Katie Ferrara.  As we look back at 2019, consider the words of her song, “Living in Black and White.”

Next is a lyric video from Canadian electro-pop band 12xPretty.  They just want to be “Somewhere Else.”  We’re glad they’re here now.

Our third video belongs to the retro Brit pop sound of Certain Animals.  The cinematography has the quirkiness of Doctor Who, and will definitely make you interested in the “Automaton.”

Video number four is from Michael Hornbuckle, who we have not heard from since we reviewed his album back in 2016.  We are so glad he’s back and simply can’t get enough of “Witches Wore Black.”

We close things out with the amazing classic rock sound of Revolution Saints, who remind us a lot of Journey.  Check out “When the Heartache has Gone” and we think you’ll be a believer as well.  We can’t wait to hear more when their album drops on January 24.

Monday mashup 2019: vol. 39

It’s the eve of Christmas Eve and I just returned from a long day of work at Pizza Hut, with just enough energy left to post this week’s Monday Mashup.  We hope these five new singles and five new music videos will give you what you need to make it to Christmas.  Enjoy the time with family and friends.

NEW SINGLES

First up is a refreshing cover of the classic Christmas song, “Silent Night,” from the rising superstar vocalist Alexa Villa.  We love her pop/rock take on the song, and think this one will bear hearing quite a few times.

https://open.spotify.com/album/2iefiL8G1rIvXt0o50UtE9?si=Ovemq-XMTRqwuOhtq4Xsag

Next up is another incredible Christmas cover, this time Bing Crosby‘s “White Christmas,” provided by the ever wonderful sound of Matt LeGrand.  May all your dreams come true.

Let’s take an instrumental interlude and share the inspiring piano licks of Sheldon Pickering‘s “Song of Thanks.”  Be thankful for family and friends and that you have a job.  I know I am.

This next song is from an artist we just recently met last June.  The single, “Lonely Time of Year,” is produced by our dear friend Shane Alexander, and we can’t wait to hear the rest of the album.  Say hello to Arielle Silver – we think you’ll be hearing a lot from her in the future.

Our final single this week is an upbeat number from Harris Breyfogle.  We love the funky sound of “Angela,” and can’t wait to hear more.

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

Our first video this week features the powerful vocals of Christina LaRocca, that combine the sound of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.  This girl can wail, and we will be right there listening to “Breathe” until her next track drops.

Next up is the truly inspiring sound of boerd featuring Stella Explorer.  We think this one will give you plenty to celebrate and is a live session for their song “Before we Drown.”  Enjoy!

Video number three features the stellar vocals of singer-songwriter Mattie Leon, who reminds us of life’s “Silver Line.”  Let the truth of the words soak in, especially at this time of year.

Next up is the rocking sound of Pointless, who are anything but.  Their song is called “Half Empty,” but it definitely does not leave us with that impression.  We can’t wait to hear more from them.

We close out this week with the killa sound of Monsta X and their latest song, “Middle of the Night.”  Have a wonderful Christmas week and we’ll see you next week for our final Monday Mashup of 2019.

Monday mashup 2019: vol. 38

Only nine days away from our first Christmas in Oklahoma, and the weather is reminding us that it’s winter.  Still waiting to see if we’ll get anything white, but in the meantime, it’s bitterly cold.  Seems like the perfect time to warm up with some great new music and videos, so let’s get started.

NEW SINGLES

First up is a beautiful collaboration between 23rd Hour and Caley Rose, who we recently introduced you to.  This one is called “Get me Home for the Holidays,” and it is making us wish that Christmas was tomorrow instead of next Wednesday.  Hope it lifts your holiday spirits as well.

Next up is the latest from one of our favorite LA songbirds, the one and only Kris Angelis.  This time it’s the time track to her upcoming EP, “That Siren, Hope.”  We think it’s the best she’s ever recorded, and would love to know what you think.

Single number three spotlights another bright young songwriter named Katarina Cain, and is entitled “Promised Land.”  We think she’s headed there, as evidenced by her excellent showing on Season 15 of The Voice, and we are proud to tag along.  This one will definitely get your week going strong.

https://soundcloud.com/user-914489524/promised-land/s-U6D1l

Next up is the latest from the amazing voice of Sofia Evangelina.  This one is called “Smile,” and it has us grinning from ear to ear.  This one is going on perpetual repeat.

We close out this week’s new singles with the latest from the uber-talented Kensington Moore.  She gets her revenge in the form of “Karma,” and we’re glad we’re not on her bad side.  Enjoy this one.

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

Well, since the ladies were featured in the Singles category, we’ll give the guys their due and feature them in the Music Video category.  First up is Feudale‘s lyric video for their song “Teenager.”  We bet this one will bring back some memories.

Next up is another lyric video, this time from the hard-rocking metal band Runescarred.  This one is called “Mammoth,” and it’s huge.  Go ahead and head bang to your heart’s content with this one.

Our third video is called “A Thousand Years Away,” and we’re glad we don’t have to wait that long for the rest of the album to be released.  We love the melodic rock sound of Atlanta rockers The Endangered Species, and will definitely keep our eyes on these lads.

Next is the latest video from the incredible rock band Violates/Violets.  This one is called “Soft Core,” and it’s get everything you want in your rock music video.  Enjoy this holiday treat.

We close out this week with a stimulating animated video that captures Johnny Stranger‘s tribute to that holiday classic The Nutcracker Suite.  Here is “Marche.”

Ten amazing videos released in November 2019

Well, we survived Black Friday, although I got food poisoning and had to stay home on Saturday to recuperate.  Back to normal today and ready to share these beautiful videos, so let’s get started.  But first, a special treat from our long-time friends, Karmina.

It’s been four years since they graced us with new music, but the lovely sisters have released three new audio videos, and let me tell you – this is some of their best stuff ever.  Here’s our favorite of the three, “We are Dragons.”  Let it give you the strength to be your best.

We kick things off this month with a cover of one of our all-time favorite rock songs, Robert Palmer‘s “Addicted to Love.”  The Black Heart Saints have done a great job of recreating his energy and have given us a creative gem of a video.  Enjoy.

Next up is a holiday video from Toni Monroe which features Korvette, “Santa’s Cookies.”  This one is fun, upbeat and creative to get your Christmas spirit running.

Video number three is a creative dance number from Aaron Sibley for his song, “Holiday Love.”  Enjoy this one.

Our next video is for the song “Signs,” which recently went viral for Jay Copes.  This one’s got it all, and we are proud to share it with you.

Last month we shared the single “Facebook” by The Brilliance.  This month they’re back with an intriguing video for the song, which is visually interesting and adds power to the lyrical content.  Check it out.

We move next to the psychedelic world of RAPTOR, with their gem of a video for “Escapism.”  This one is truly influenced by the music of the 60s, but with a fresh new feel.

Video number seven is probably our favorite video this month and introduces us to the awesome talent of Opāru for her song, “Ghost to Follow.”  This one deserves to be played again and again, and enjoyed more and more every time.  It reminds us of Burning Man.

Our next video is a powerful statement about the assassination of JFK by the band Minutes to Midnight.  This one will definitely get you thinking.  Thanks for the history lesson.

Mia Ayana is an up and coming R&B singer from Las Vegas who has delivered a gem that truly shows off her “Potential.”  Keep your eyes on this lady.

We close out the month with another powerful concept video about overcoming oppression.  Here is Jody Cooper‘s take on it as told in his song, “Song for the Oppressed (Cruelty Dies.”

Ten great singles released in November 2019

Happy Black Friday!  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We spent the day with my brother’s in-laws, his wife and kids, her brother and his family and lots of dogs.  The food was plentiful and it was a very relaxing day, despite the cold and rain.  Today it’s off to brave the crowd at my Sam’s Club before heading back to Pizza Hut tomorrow for the annual day of bedlam, when OK faces OK State.  In the meantime, here are Ten Great Singles that were released in November, on top of the previously shared 20 singles from our Monday Mashup.  We hope you enjoy them.

We kick things off with Mrs. Henry, a classic rock band from San Diego, which will release its latest effort, a live album, on January 20.  Here is “All I Can Do (live).”  We love their retro sound and hope it kicks off your day perfectly.

Next up is the latest from Canadian singer-songwriter Andria Piperni, a neo-soul tune tinged with R&B and jazz called “Yours.”  We are proud to share this instant classic tune and encourage all “hopeless romantics” to check her out.

Single number three comes from the smooth sound of C. SHIROCK, who is “Lost to the Night.”  We think he could easily become one of our favorite voices.  This one is powerful, and we think perfect for this time of the year.  It tells the story of his producer’s brother and their heartfelt reconciliation.  Share this one with everyone.

Next up is an electronic duo that formed their band while on a flight to Europe.  The sound is pure 90s and full of what made electronica so popular.  Check out Divine Astronaut and their debut single, “Undone.”

We round out our first five with the return of Sonja Midtune, who we have previously featured back in February.  This one is absolutely stunning, encouraging and powerful.  Check out “Talk to Me.”

We interrupt our Ten Great Singles article to present the latest from multi-platinum selling artist Anna Nalick (“Breathe (2 a.m.)”), who has recently signed with Chesky Records.  She brings her unmistakable style to a cover of the classic song, “As Time Goes By.”  We are happy to hear a totally different sound from her, and think you’ll love her version of this standard.

Our second five starts with the dynamic sister duo The Parkers.  Here is their latest, “AI Mind,” and we think it deserves serious airplay on the radio.  Let us know what you think.

Next up is a single released today from Vicky Sometani that is upbeat, fun and truly worthy of its title, “Breeze.”  Put this one on repeat and chill.

Single number eight is an R&B/soul smooth jam called “Fourth of July” from the stunning LA artist, Jane Q Public.

https://soundcloud.com/jane-fishman/fourth-of-july-3

Our ninth single reminds us of early Colbie Cailat, and we are head over heels for Caley Rose.  We think her new single is definitely “Worth the Trip.”  With a debut this strong, we think she can definitely go anywhere, and we’ll follow.

We close out this edition of Ten Great Singles with the latest silky and jazzy smooth jam from Kylie Odetta.  This one sums up what most of us are feeling this time of year, “Too Broke Too Busy.”  Enjoy your Black Friday and we’ll be back soon with our Ten Amazing Videos set.

Monday mashup 2019: vol. 35

We’ve reached our final Monday Mashup of November, and Thanksgiving is just around the corner.  Please take time this year to be thankful for family and friends, and for our military who fought for our freedom to celebrate.  Enjoy these new singles and music videos and we’ll be back soon with our Ten Great Singles and Ten Amazing Videos released in the month of November.

NEW SINGLES

Our first single this week comes from Alexandria Maillot.  This one has a great alternative rock vibe with powerful lyrics.  Check out “Someone to Keep you Warm.”

Our next single combines the sound of two of our favorites – Whitney Houston and Patti Labelle – to form a sweet and smooth jam called “Out of my ooo.”  We simply love the sound of Jessica Wilde and can’t wait to see what comes next.

We introduced you to the sweet and sensual sound of Emmrose last month, and she’s back with an even better song this month.  Here’s “Hopeless Romantics” for your consideration.  We think this artist definitely has “the goods.”

Single number four has a harder edge and features the dynamic London duo called Revolvers.  According to the title of their single, we are living in “Confusing Times,” and we couldn’t agree more.

Our final single, “She” comes from Richmond, Virginia band She.   Their sound is almost experimental rock but with a touch of prog, and we like it.  We think you will too.

https://soundcloud.com/user-121828030/she

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS

Our first video features the powerful and strong vocals of Rookes on her song, “Salvage.”  This is by far one of the best songs we have heard this year.  What do you think?

Back in the late 80s, most of us loved a band called the Spin Doctors, composed of Chris Barron and Eric Schenkman.  When the band broke up, Barron began pursuing an indie career as a singer-songwriter, while Schenkman continue his mastery of the guitar.  Well, Schenkman is back with his latest song, “Agent Orange Blues,” and we are glad he is.  It’s a total departure from the Spin Doctors.  Let us know what you think.

Video number three comes from Scotland’s gem, Baby Taylah, and is a visually stunning video that will appeal to anyone who loved and misses Game of Thrones.  Check out “Reclaim.”

We last featured Matt LeGrand back in September.  He returns with Mexican rapper Mestiza and delivers the smooth jam “I’ve Been Watching You.”  This one is guaranteed to get you in the mood.

We close out this edition of Monday Mashup with a beautiful cover video from Christafari of the Christian song “Way Maker,” which features the soulful reggae sound of Avion Blackman.  We love the reggae groove and the lyrics.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
